British Airways First Class

British Airways First Class

Cuvée Dr Brendan O’Regan 2018 will be poured on British Airways First Class over the next three years alongside prestige cuvées from Rare, Charles Heidsieck, Laurent-Perrier, Bollinger, Veuve Clicquot, Gusbourne, and Nyetimber.

When Tim Jackson, Master of Wine at British Airways, asked us in September 2024 whether we had something particularly special in the cellar, I knew there was only one possible wine to propose for the tender.

The 2018 vintage is widely regarded as the finest England has produced in the modern era and Cuvée Dr Brendan O’Regan – an extended-aged bottling made only in exceptional vintages – is our very finest and rarest sparkling wine.

Now, eight years after harvest, the wine is densely layered with ripe yellow fruit etched with chalky minerality. While already hugely complex, it has the structure and concentration to age beautifully for a decade and beyond.

That the wine’s namesake Brendan O’Regan – one of the most distinguished Irishmen of the 20th century, and my great-uncle – is the founding father of Duty Free and synonymous with the creation of the world-famous hotel school at Shannon Airport makes this partnership all the more special. He would be so proud.

A very limited quantity of the remaining stock will be available on allocation by request from Tuesday 17th March 2026 – St Patrick's Day.
